The teeth are polished to remove any plaque
The lips and cheeks are retracted and suction tubes placed to remove saliva & water
The teeth are etched with a mild acid to produce a frosted surface
A bonding agent is then applied
Brackets are then placed on individual teeth
Upper and lower can be placed at the same visit
The position of each bracket is adjusted as necessary
A wire is run through the slot in the blocks and held in place with small coloured elastics
The ends of the wire are cut off
After about 30 - 40 minutes, this is how it ends up
